Coal Township - Julia Ann Deromedi, 80, of 20 Sheridan Street, Apt. 110, passed away in her home on August 4, 2017.

Born in Atlas on January 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Barbara (Horoschak) Deromedi. She lived on 138 West Saylor Street, Atlas for most of her adult life. She worked for 26 years at the Shamokin Dress Company, Schroyers.

Julia attended Divine Redeemer Church and later in life was a member of Mother Carbrini Church. She gradated from Mount Carmel High School in 1954.

Julia is survived by a brother, Jake Deromedi of Kulpmont; a sister, Virginia "Ginger" Kerch and her husband Frank of Shippensburg; four nephews, Donald Deromedi and his wife LeAnn of TX, Daniel Deromedi and his partner Pineda Binbie of Frackville, David Deromedi and his partner Jennifer Burd, and Matthew Kerch and his wife Cailin of AL; a niece Bridget Deromedi of State College; two great nephews, Shawn Deromedi of TX, and Daniel Deromedi of Frackville; a great nieces Anna Kerch; and several cousins. In addition to her parents Julia was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Bonnie Deromedi. Julia will be missed by her many friends as well as her family.

Julia Ann Deromedi, 80, of 20 Sheridan Street, Apt 110, Coal Township - Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 10:00 am in Mother Cabrini Church, 214 North Shamokin Street, Shamokin,  with a Franciscan Friar officiating. Burial will be at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00-10:00 am, at Mother Cabrini Church, 214 North Shamokin Street, Shamokin. Arrangements are being cared for by C. J.
