Kulpmont – Katherine (Kosloski) Stasick, 91, passed away October 5, 2022 at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

She was born in Shamokin on February 4, 1931, the daughter of Joachim "Jesse" and Mary (Jacoski) Kosloski.

Katherine attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and graduated from Coal Township High School. She lived in Shamokin until 1964 when she moved to Kulpmont. Katherine worked as a seamstress in local garment factories.

On December 1, 1951, in St. Stanislaus Church she married Stephen Stasick, who preceded her in death on February 16, 1991.

Katherine was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, the VFW of Mt. Carmel, the Kulpmont Legion, the Senior Citizens Action Center of Kulpmont, and was an officer of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and loved animals.

Katherine is survived by a granddaughter, Patricia Shadle of Mount Carmel; a great-granddaughter, Emily Rose Stasick of Mount Carmel; a niece, Sandra Fodor and companion Joseph Wolkowski of Kulpmont; and a daughter-in-law, Theresa Boyer of Natalie. In addition to her parents and husband, Katherine was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Stasick, Joseph Stasick, and David Stasick; a sister, Genevieve Fodor; and a brother-in-law, Alex Fodor.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. Viewing will be held in the Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Arrangements are in care of C. J.
