Kathryn M. Kowalewski, 78, of Allentown, passed away on April 15, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

She was born in Shamokin State Hospital on March 25, 1946, the daughter of the late Louis "Buick" and Emma (Pavaris) Kowalewski.

Kathryn was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, class of 1964. After high school, she moved to Allentown, where she resided since. Kathryn attended nursing school at Allentown General Hospital and worked as an operating room nurse for Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Blvd.

She was a member of the former Our Mother of Consolation Church, now known as Divine Redeemer Church.

Kathryn is survived by her brother, Frank Kowalewski of Edison, NJ, and some cousins surviving.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Father Bernard Wamayose, A J officiating in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine Street, Mt. Carmel, PA, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor. Burial will follow in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Township, Viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K Street, NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037-1830.
