Kathryn F. (Fagley) Oyler, 89, of Elysburg, passed away on March 18, 2026, at her residence.

She was born in Pottsville Hospital on July 15, 1936, to her parents, Walter and Harriett (Walsh) Fagley.

Kathryn was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, Class of 1954, and went on to attend the University of Virginia. She later served as a special agent with the FBI until her retirement.

On June 2, 1956, she married Phillip D. Oyler Jr. at Falls Church Presbyterian Church in Falls Church, Virginia. He preceded her in death. In 2002, Kathryn moved to Elysburg, where she resided for the remainder of her life.

She was a member of the Fort McClure Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and volunteered at the Methodist Church food bank in Elysburg. Kathryn was especially skilled in genealogy research and took great pride in her work.

Kathryn is survived by her caretaker and niece, Elizabeth (Barry) Duell of Paxinos; a niece, Gail Wehry of Mt. Carmel; a great-niece, Meghan (Richard Simpson) Duell and their daughter, Liliana of Barrie, Ontario, Canada; a great-nephew, Brett (Laura) Duell of Pittsburg; and a sister-in-law, Betty Darrup of Mt. Carmel. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, William Fagley.
