Kulpmont - Kenneth J. Rudock Sr., 77, of 1120 Poplar Street, passed away, Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

Born in Coal Township on December 13, 1939, he was the son of the late Michael and Helen (Zavotsky) Rudock. He lived in the area all his life. He was retired as a truck driver and dispatcher for Herr Gas and Oil/Montour Oil.

On July 13, 1962 in Fredrick, Maryland, he married Shirley A. Owczarek. He graduated in 1957 from Mount Carmel Joint High School. he was a member of Patronage of Mother of God Church in Marion Heights, VFW Kulpmont, East End Fire Company of Kulpmont, West End Fire Company of Kulpmont, Jan Sobieski Club. He served in the Army from 1957 - 1960, during the Cuban Crisis.

In addition to his wife, Shirley of Kulpmont, he is survived by three sons, Michael W Rudock IV and his wife Patricia of TX, Randall J. Rudock and his wife Vicky of CO, Kenneth J. Rudock Jr. and his wife Caprice, FL.; a daughter Sandra A. Herr and her husband Clint of Elysburg; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Thomas and her husband Michael, Megan Rudock, Zac Rudock, Randell Rudock, Tara Rudock, Kelly Rudock, Abigail Herr and Jacob Herr; four step grandchildren, Tiffany Stevens, Ashley Rose, Morgan Taylor, and Ava Grace; two great grandchildren Avery and Aaron Thomas; two brothers, Robert Rudock and his wife Peggy of Mount Carmel, Ronald Rudock of Mount Carmel; two sisters, Anna Steffanick of Mount Carmel and Eleanor Filohoski of Kulpmont; four sister-in-laws Mary D'Amico of NY, Rose Nemeth and her husband Steve of NV, Diane Canavan of NY and Cecelia Wysock of York; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael Rudock and his wife Pat; a mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Mary Owczarek; five brother-in-laws, Fabian Filohoski, Charles Steffanick, Anthony D'Amico, James Canavan and Jack Wysock.

Kenneth J. Rudock, Sr., 77, 1120 Poplar Street, Kulpmont - Divine Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11:00 in Patronage Church of the Mother of God, 145 E. Melrose St, Marion Heights with Reverend Ivenov, officiating. Burial will be in the Patronage Church of the Mother of God Cemetery.
