Kenneth M. (Kenny) Schultz, 78, formerly of 1818 Center St. Ashland, PA, passed away on January 4, 2025 at Broad Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center in Frackville.

He was born at the Ashland Hospital on September 13, 1946, to the late Kenneth J. Schultz and Elizabeth Dorkowski.

Kenneth graduated from the Mount Carmel Catholic High School, class of 1964. He was a self-employed contactor, and owner of Kenneth M. Schultz Carpentry.

He was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved watching football. He loved to spend time with his mother, and was known as Momma's Boy.

Kenneth is survived by three sisters, Susan Horan of Mount Carmel, Margaret Mall of  Middletown and George of Natalie, and Barbara Schultz and husband Ronnie of Selinsgrove; a niece and godchild, Amanda Horan and fiancé Daniel Swatsky of Mount Carmel; a companion, Betty Procopio of Kulpmont; a niece Gretchen and husband Matthew Sage of Honolulu, Hawaii; a nephew, Joshua Mall of Santa Barbara, CA; and an uncle Richard (Luke) Schultz of Kulpmont. Survivors also include many other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and various aunts and uncles.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Francis Karwacki officiating in the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Viewing will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., with transferal prayers at 10:00 a.m. in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N.
