Leonid Sabadis, 92, of 351 South Willow Street, died August 3, 2025 at home after a one month illness

Born in Omsk, Russia on July 15, 1933, he was the son of the late Florea and Nina (Vasilievna) Sabadis.  Leonid was a resident of Mount Carmel for the past 25 years, previously living in Romania. He was educated in Romania and was employed as a warehouse manager.  In his free time he enjoyed fishing and found meaning in all animal behavior

In Romania in 1960  married the late Domnica Gasca who preceded him in death on January 21, 2022.

He was a member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church, Mount Carmel.

Over all things, he loved his grandchildren and was very generous to them.

He is survived by his daughter, Mirend Matukaitis of Mount Carmel, two grandchildren, Roxana and Gabirel and three great grandchildren, Earlan, Roxana and Martin. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two brothers.
