Kulpmont – Lillian R. Farronato, 81, of 902 Ash Street, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at her residence with family by her side.

She was born in New York City on July 14, 1939, the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Poplaski) Scalfani.

Lillian attended Stewart High School in Manhattan.

On February 21, 1959 in Long Island, she married Robert J. Farronato, who preceded her in death on April 1, 2008. In 1975 she moved to Coal Township and later settled in Kulpmont.

Lillian was a member of Church of the Holy Angels and the American Legion Auxiliary, Kulpmont. She loved shopping and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Lillian is survived by a daughter, Linda Gregorowicz and husband, John of Elysburg; two sons, Robert Farronato and wife, Chin of VA, and Michael Farronato and wife, Angela of Kulpmont; eight grandchildren, Jessica Farronato, Victoria Farronato, Marisa Sheldon, Dominic Farronato, Dylan Farronato, Michael Farronato, Nicholas Sundman, and Stephen Sundman; a great-grandson, Lincoln Sheldon; two sisters, Barbara Alexander of Port Jefferson, NY, and Elizabeth Scalfani of NYC; a nephew, Jeffery Alexander; three nieces, Kim Meiring, Deborah Exarchou, and Susan Fakir; and life-long friend, Joanne Kase.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Lillian R. Farronato, 81, of 902 Ash Street, Kulpmont – Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights. Visitation will be held in the Church from 12 p.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Resource Center, 80 Hogs Back Rd, Millville, PA 17846 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
