Mount Carmel - Lorraine M. (Koss) Catino, 93, passed away on January 24, 2026, at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

She was born in Shamokin on October 13, 1932, to Anthony and Sophia (Morgan) Koss. She was the youngest of seven children and the last surviving member of her family.

Lorraine was raised in Shamokin and attended Saint Stanislaus School and Church.

On May 21, 1949, she married the late Arthur J. Catino Sr. at St. Stanislaus Church. Following their marriage, the couple moved to the Mount Carmel area and co-founded the Little Bear Market.

Lorraine was a housewife and mother. She was an avid cook who was known for her pizzelles. When Lorraine made a meal, there was enough for her family and the whole neighborhood. She was an active member of St. Peter's Church, now known as Divine Redeemer Church, where she helped with numerous fundraisers and events. Lorraine was a member of the Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters. She loved playing Bingo.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Arthur J. Catino Sr.; and an infant daughter, Lorraine.

Lorraine is survived by three daughters, MaryAnne Patrick and her husband Darryl, Lisa Marion and her husband, Michael, and Ann Marie Reisinger and her husband, Thomas; two sons, Arthur Jr. and his wife, Maria, and Michael and his wife, Katherine; 10 grandchildren, Genevieve, Arthur III, Loriann, Thalia, Amber, Corinne, Michael, Sophia, Anthony, and Nathan; and six great-grandchildren, Bradley, Kyla, Elizabeth, Aria, Cole, and Jamison.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, at 11 a.m. with Father Bernard Wamayose, A.J., and Msgr. Francis Karwacki concelebrating in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 W. Ave., Mt. Carmel. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp. Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 21st, from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with a Rosary and Transferal Prayers starting at 10 a.m. in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt.
