Mount Carmel - Lorraine E. Dorkoski, 89, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the residence of her daughter at 645 East Fourth Street.

Born in Shamokin on August 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Forcheskie) Krepshaw.

A former resident of 425 East North Street, Marion heights, Lorraine was employed as a seamstress  until the closure of Our Sportswear.  A very skilled seamstress, she has done many of the bridal purses, aprons, veils and pillows for ring bearers for family and friends weddings along with bridal and bridesmaid dolls.

On August 21, 1948 in St. Stanislaus Church, Shamokin she married the late Alexander Dorkoski who preceded her in death on June 14, 1998.

She was a member of Divine Redeemer Church and Our lady of Perpetual Help, Marion Heights, prior to its closure.

She enjoyed adult coloring, going to casinos and the Philadelphia Phillies as well as remembering "The New Diamond Cafe" her Dad had built on Chemung Street along with their homestead.  She also enjoyed listening to polkas.

The only surviving member is her daughter and caretaker for the past 14 years Sandra Wydra along with her husband Tucker who couldn't do it without him; son-in-law, Michael White of Kulpmont; sister, Dolores Humes and brother, Lambert (Magee) Krepshaw both of Philadelphia as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Diane (Dorkoski) White on August 16, 2013 and two brothers, Herbert and Chet Krepshaw and six sisters, Irene Hughes, Florence Hertzog, Mildred Dorkoski, Dorothy Grabowski, Louise Pichcuskie and Eleanor Varney.

Lorraine E. Dorkoski, 89, of 645 East Fourth Street, Mount Carmel - Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:30 am in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Father Martin O. Moran III officiating.  Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.  Viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 and Saturday morning from 9:00 - 10:15 with transferal prayers at 9:45 in the C.J.
