Mount Carmel - Lorraine A. Kutza, 86, of 247 North Park Street, died on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Mount Carmel Senior Living Community, where she had been a resident for nine days.

Lorraine was born in Atlas on December 9, 1931 to August and Henrietta (Zamboni) Dallabrida.  She graduated from Mount Carmel Catholic High School in 1949.  After graduation, Lorraine worked in Washington, D.C. and later at the General Cigar Factory in Mount Carmel.

On October 8, 1960, she married Carl J. Kutza at St. Peter's Church. They happily celebrated their 57th anniversary this past October.  Carl and Lorraine spent much of their time together and had a marriage to be admired.

Lorraine was a member of Divine Redeemer Church.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music, watching television and cooking for her family.  Her outgoing personality and quick wit were enjoyed by many.  She enjoyed hearing about her grandchildren's lives and looked forward to their frequent visits.  Despite her small stature, Lorraine had a spunk and determination that rivaled that of someone twice her size.

In addition to her husband Carl, she is survived by her loving daughter, Anne, two grandchildren, Lisa and Carl Darrup, who loved being with and talking to Grammie, a sister, Vigilia Elgin, two brothers-in-law Joseph Kutza and his wife Margaret of Berwick, and Tom Kutza and his wife Herma of Elysburg, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many friends and neighbors. In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her Son Carl, who passed away on September 20, 1990, a sister, Mary Louise Fedock, two  nephews, Mark Elgin and Frank Kutza and a niece, Susan Kutza.

Lorraine A. Kutza, 86, of 247 Park Street, Mount Carmel - Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 10:30 am in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Father Martin O. Moran III, officiating.  Burial will be in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mount Carmel Twp.  Viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 8:30 - 10:15 with transferal prayers at 9:30 in the C.J.
