Kulpmont - Marcella B. Kaselonis, 104, formerly of 504 East Avenue, Mount Carmel went home to be with Our Lord, on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Serenity Gardens surrounded by friends.

She was born on October 6, 1913 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late John and Helen (Jasinavicin) Shimones.  She was a resident of Mount Carmel prior to entering Serenity Gardens, she also lived in New York and Fisherdale.

Marcella was employed at S & J Shirt Factory in Mt. Carmel and Manhattan Hat Factory in New York City.

On November 23, 1932 in Our Lady of Mercy Church in Slabtown she married the late Joseph Kaselonis, they had a beautiful 66 year marriage until his death on June 10, 1999.

She was a member of the former Holy Cross Church, currently a member of Divine Redeemer Church where she was active in all activities.

She often donated her knitting and crocheting articles. She was Woman of the year in 1999 of Post 2110 VFW Auxiliary and also was Conductress and a life member of the auxiliary. She also was a member of the Lithuanian Society and attended functions and the National Lithuanian day every August.  While at Serenity Gardens she was an active bingo player, member of their Red Hat Society, she attended all Bible Studies and participated in all activities.

Marcy and her roommate Mary Welker did everything together. She was of the catholic faith and attended church at all masses, recently celebrating her 104th with Father Martin Moran, her parish priest on her birthday this year at the church, her love of her faith ran deep.

Survivors include multiple nieces and nephews, William Flannery, Joan Houlihan, Barbara Bernard and her husband Frank, Michele Romanello and her husband Paul, Christine LeTourneau and her husband Gregory, and Noelle Hallahan and her husband Paul.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son who died at birth, her siblings, John, Frank, Stanley, Anne, Mary, Amelia, Emma and Helen.

Marcella B. Kaselonis, 104, formerly of 504 East Avenue, Mount Carmel - Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 10:30 am in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Reverend Martin O. Moran III, officiating.  Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.  Viewing will be held Wednesday morning from 9:00 - 10:15 with transferal prayers at 9:45 in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J.
