Mount Carmel - Margaret E. Linetty, 96 formerly of 426 Main Street, Wilburton#2, passed away, Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Wilburton #2 on December 10, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen (Watsloff) Linetty. She was a 1937 graduate of Conyngham Township High School. Margaret  was a self-employed beautician.

She lived in her homestead up until three years ago when she became a resident of the Mount Carmel Assisted Living.

Margaret was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

She enjoyed going on bus trips and was always ready for shopping. She was kind and caring and would offer anyone a helping hand.  Her outlook on life was to deal with the hand you were dealt.

She enjoyed baking and cooking and while living in Wilburton #2, was active in the Senior Center and liked to treat them with her desserts.  While a resident at the Assisted Living, she looked forward to activity time participating in games and bingo.

Survivors include four nieces, Marlene Fisher and her husband Joseph of Den Mar Gardens; Dianne Crossly and her husband John of South Carolina; Paula Lazarski of Ashland and Barbara Linetty of Willow Grove as well as several great nieces and great nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Clement and John Linetty and two sisters, Teresa Brown and Rita Keiser.  She is the last member of the Linetty family and will be missed by her family and friends

Margaret E. Linetty, 96, formerly of 426 Main Street, Wilburton #2 - Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 11:00 am in Church of Our Lady, 47 South Market Street, Mount Carmel with Father Francis Karwacki, officiating.  Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.  Viewing will be held Tuesday  morning from 9:00 - 10:45 in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J.
