Mount Carmel -Margaret A. Sosnoski, 69 of 537 West Third Street, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Shamokin on September 4, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Nellie (Swatsky) Geary.

She was employed at Mount Carmel Elementary School as a teachers aide.

On September 14, 1968 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, she married Leonard R. Sosnoski Jr., who survives.

She was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School and a member of Divine Redeemer Church.

She enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren. She loved going to the Outer Banks, camping, going to casinos and spending time at auctions.

In addition to her husband Leonard she is survived by two sons, Curtis L. Sosnoski of Mount Carmel and Craig R. Sosnoski and his partner Mark Sebolka of Larksville; a daughter, Tara M. Higgins and her husband Michael of Kulpmont; three grandchildren, Mikey, Gabe and Sam Higgins; a brother, Donald Geary and his wife Ann Marie of Kulpmont; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Kapushinki of Atlas and Catherine Szido and her husband William of Natalie; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Sosnoski and his wife Leah of Bloomsburg and Jack Pizzoli of Harrisburg as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Stanley Kapushinski.

Margaret A. Sosnoski, 69, of 537 West Third Street, Mount Carmel - Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 8, 2017 at 12:30 pm in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Reverend Martin O. Moran III, officiating.  Burial will in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.  Visitation will be held Monday from 10:30 am - 12:15 with transferal prayers at 11:15 in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J.
