Mount Carmel – Marie R. (Butts) Condron, 93, of 134 Chestnut Lane, was called home to Heaven on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Born in Mount Carmel on March 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Michaline Butts.

Marie was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel. She attended Holy Cross Grade School and was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, class of 1948. She worked as a seamstress in various local factories.

On September 29, 1951, in the former Holy Cross Church, Mount Carmel, she married William J. Condron, who preceded her in 2017.

Marie was a member of Holy Cross Church, now known as Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles, word searches, and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed going for drives and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Deborah Sutsko of Exeter Township.; her son, William Condron Jr. of Blandon; a granddaughter, Kera; a grandson, Michael; a grandson, Alex; a granddaughter, Rachel; and a great-grandson, Giovanni; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by all of her siblings including her six sisters, Frances, Florence, Leona, Joanne, Lorraine, and Jackie; and four brothers, Leonard (Infant), Thomas, Robert, and Albert.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Father Francis Karwacki officiating in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. 47 S. Market St., Mt. Carmel. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with transferal prayers at 10 a.m. in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27. N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.
