Mt. Carmel - Marietta Miriello passed away peacefully on Thursday August 31, 2023.

Marietta was born on January 06, 1938, in Isca Sullo Ionio, Italy, the daughter of the late Rosina (Gidaro) and Saverio Miriello. She immigrated to the United States in the 1950's and settled in Mount Carmel where she lived all of her life.

Marietta worked in area factories and was an excellent seamstress and cook. She was a member of Divine Redeemer Church.

She is survived by a sister, Gina, and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 10 a.m. with Father Bernard Wamayose, A.J. officiating in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Arrangements are in care of C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.
