Mark John Hepler, 61, passed away on June 1, 2026. Born on June 25, 1964, Mark lived a life defined by dedication to his family and a passion for the things he loved most. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Hepler and Marie Hepler.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Hepler; his children, Adam Hepler and his wife, Rinatta; Justin Hepler; Matthew Hepler; and Kristen Rodak and her husband, Joseph. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to four grandchildren whom he absolutely adored: Jett and Deacon Hepler, and Audrey and Austin Rodak. He is also survived by his beloved aunt, Carmella Daniels; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Roseann Donkochik, his brothers-in-law, David Donkochik and Scott Brady; his sisters-in-law, Jill Donkochik, Leanne Brady, and Genevieve Donkochik; and a nephew, Steven Donkochik. He cherished the love, support, and many memories he shared with his extended family.

For the past 12 years, Mark worked in Security at Geisinger, where he was respected for his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to helping others. During his time there, he formed many meaningful friendships with coworkers who became an important part of his life. He valued the camaraderie, laughter, and support they shared, and the relationships he built through his work meant a great deal to him. Prior to joining Geisinger, Mark devoted his career to law enforcement and juvenile programs, touching countless lives through his service and making a lasting impact on the communities he served.

Mark was an avid sports fan who rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. He was a loyal supporter of Carolina Tar Heels basketball, Penn State wrestling, and Tennessee Titans football. Beyond sports, Mark treasured the simple moments in life like mini beach getaways with Janet, spontaneous trips for ice cream, and time spent with those he loved most.

A devoted dog lover, Mark had a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Oakley, as well as the many faithful companions who shared his life over the years.

Mark will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic, his sense of humor, and the kindness he showed to others. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

His legacy lives on through his family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by his compassion, loyalty, and unwavering devotion.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, PA 17834, Ashley P. Doyle Supervisor.
