Atlas - Marlin M. Brosius, 87 of 133 E. Columbia Ave., passed away, May 28, 2017, at his home.

Born in Mount Carmel on January 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Harvey and Jennie (Zieders) Brosius.  Marlin was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1947 graduate of Mount Carmel High School.  Marlin was employed as a store manager for Acme Markets, until retirement.

In SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mount Carmel, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Kolody, who preceded him in death, December 13, 1998.  He loved spending time with his family, was passionate about Mount Carmel Football and enjoyed his dogs Snoopy, Dudley and Sparkey.

Marlin is survived by three daughters, Michelle Varano and her husband Guido, Kulpmont, Kathryn Miller and her husband Joe, West Chester and Mary Ann Karp and her husband Chris, FL; four grandchildren, Andrew and Kristen Miller and Patrick and Samantha Karp; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Brosius and his wife Dorothy and Charles Brosius and his wife Mary; one sister, Grace Townsend and her husband Clark; four brother-in-laws, Nick Kolody and his wife Dorothy, Harry Kolody and his wife Mary, Joseph Kolody and Melvin Kolody; two sister-in-laws, Mary Stankus and her husband Pete and Anna Gallagher.  Marlin will be missed by his family and friends.

Marlin Brosius, 87, of 133 E. Columbia Ave., Atlas - Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11:00 am in C. J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, with Reverend Joan Brown, officiating.  Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Cemetery, Mount Carmel.  Viewing will be held Tuesday prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 in C. J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C. J.
