Marion Heights – Mary R. (Buenafuente) Lobos, 89, formerly of Marion Heights, passed away April 19, 2022 at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

She was born in Troop, PA on September 6, 1932, the daughter of the late Frank and Concetta (Eavrone) Buenafuente. Mary lived in Spain for a few years during the 1940's and attended school there.

On July 3, 1952 in the Shrine of the Little Flower in Baltimore, MD, she married Paul T. Lobos, who preceded her in death on March 30, 2015. Mary was employed in the housekeeping department of Mountain View Manor until her retirement.

Mary was a member of the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, now known as Church of the Holy Angels.

Mary is survived by her son, Paul J. Lobos and wife, Laurie of Wilburton; daughter, Rosemarie Janoka & husband, John of Kulpmont; two grandchildren, Eric Janoka and Adam Janoka; three great-grandchildren, Sky Lynn Janoka, Sheamus Janoka, and Jacob Hornberger; a sister, Rosita Slotterback of NJ; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Farbo; and granddaughter, Marie Janoka.

Mary R. (Buenafuente) Lobos, 89, formerly of Marion Heights – Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Viewing will be held in the Church from 9:30 until the time of Mass. Arrangements are in care of C. J.
