Mount Carmel - Michael W. Girardi, 63, of 418 East Center Street, died Friday, January 5, 2018 at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

Born in Ashland on July 31, 1954 he was the son of the late William and Helen (Kampus) Girardi.

He was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School then continued on to McCann School of Business receiving an Associates Degree in Business. He took classes at Northumberland County Vo-Tech School studying blueprint reading.He worked as a utility man at Lewis Rail Service, and he worked as a sheet metal mechanic at Kennedy Van Saun, Michael also worked as an income tax preparer at H & R Block.

He became an EMT, driving ambulance for Regional Ambulance.

Mike was loving, caring and funny. He never judged people and treated everyone the same.  He liked taking hikes and playing horseshoes with his buddies.  He also loved playing cards with his family.  He was an avid fan of Mount Carmel wrestling so he could watch his grandsons.  He enjoyed watching Mount Carmel football on TV to see his grandson, Shane playing the field.  Mike enjoyed staying home and playing video games and spending time with the love of his life, Debbi.

Survivors include his significant other, Debbie Miller; three stepsons, Terry Weidner and his wife Tracy of Wilburton; Timothy Weidner and his wife Tonya of Mount Carmel; and Tommy Weidner and his wife Amy of Kulpmont; two stepdaughters, Denise and Angela; nine step-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Roney and her husband Robert of Danville and Barbara Laner and her husband Frank of Paxinos; one brother, Robert Girardi and his wife Mary Ann of New Jersey; one sister-in-law, Roberta Galitski and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Joseph Girardi and a sister, Caroline Girardi.

Michael W. Girardi, 63, of 418 East Center Street, Mount Carmel - A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 11:00 am in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel with Reverend Joan Brown, officiating.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J.
