Mount Carmel – Michael P. Mattro, 59, passed away December 13, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born in Portsmouth, VA, on June 16, 1962.

Michael was a 1980 graduate of Mount Carmel High School, where he played football, baseball, and was an outstanding wrestler. He was employed at Reinhart Foodservice.

On December 11, 1993, he married the former Susan Archeskie.

Michael had a great love for golf, billiards, restoring his two 1975 Trans Ams, and providing loving care and homes for numerous feral cats. He doted on his pet cat, Penny.

Michael is survived by his parents, Beverly Repko and husband, Joseph of Natalie; wife, Susan Mattro of Mount Carmel; two sisters, Marie Gray and husband, Charles of Wyomissing and Michelle (Moser) Malone and husband, Patrick of Natalie; a brother, Matthew Mattro of Cape Coral, FL; brother-in-law, David Archeskie and wife, Ann; five nephews, Francis Mattro, Mark Gray, Joshua Gray, Kyle Savitski, and Ryan Moser; three nieces, Jenna Wolfe, Aaliyah Mattro, Miranda Moser; two great-nieces, Marley Wolfe and Katalina Savitski; and a great-nephew, Greyson Savitski. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Mattro; brother, Mark Mattro; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Coralee and Lawrence Archeskie.

Michael P. Mattro, 59, of Mount Carmel – Funeral Service will be held on December 30, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine Street, Mt. Carmel, PA 17851, with Rev.
