Kulpmont - Michael P. Nemeth, 87, formerly of 650 Pine Street, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

Born in Kulpmont on September 3, 1930 he was the son of the late Michael and Julia (Bartko) Nemeth. He was a 1949 graduate of Kulpmont High School.

He was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont and was employed as a supervisor at Acme Markets.

In June 1962 in St. Casimir's Church, Kulpmont he married the late Bertha Swatski who preceded him in death on August 13, 1991.

He was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, a member of the VFW and East End Fire Company all of Kulpmont and a member of the former St. Mary's Holy Name Society.

He served with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1955 in the Philippine Islands with the 24th Ammo. Squadron, 13 Air Force.

Survivors include a sister-in-law Carol Nemeth of Phoenixville; three nephews, Steven Nemeth and his wife Amy of Spring City; Ken Nemeth and his wife Pam of Phoenixville and Ronald Sinkovich and his wife Diane of Allentown; one niece, Donna Rupp and her husband Carl of NJ,; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Nemeth, two sisters, Mary Sinkovich and Julia Nemeth and two stepsons, Robert Swatski and Fred Swatski.

Michael P. Nemeth, 87, formerly of 650 Pine Street, Kulpmont - Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:30 am in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont with Father Andrew Stahmer, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights.  Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10:00 am until the time of mass in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Mother Pauline Center, 1150 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont, PA 17834.  C.J.
