Kulpmont -Michael J. Peek, 86, of 531 Pine Street, passed away on December 16, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville with his beloved family by his side.

He was born on January 1, 1939, to Michael and Josephine (Liszewski) Peek.

Michael was born and raised in Kulpmont and graduated from Kulpmont High School in 1956. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he worked as a dental laboratory technician. During his service, he was stationed in Italy, Denver, Colorado, Washington State, and McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. He was stationed in Vietnam during the war and later retired from McGuire Air Force Base in 1973.

On November 25, 1961, he returned to the United States after marrying the former Valerie D. Gould in Pentney, England. His beloved wife preceded him in death on December 5, 2025.

Michael was a member of the former St. Casimir's Church, now known as the Church of the Holy Angels, in Kulpmont. He was also a member of the Kulpmont VFW and the Kulpmont American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, playing softball, and bowling in a traveling league. Michael was an avid Notre Dame football fan.

Michael is survived by a son, Stephen (Stephanie) Peek of Mount Carmel; a daughter, Maria (Bill) Callahan of Elysburg; a grandson, Zackery Peek and girlfriend Rachel Siko: three granddaughters, Emily, Grace, and Faith Callahan; a sister, Josephine Katchick; two brothers-in-law, Rusty Smith and Terry Gould; a sister-in law, Rita Gould; as well as many nieces, nephews, and various cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, Michael was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Peek and Edward Peek; a sister, Lorraine Walczak; and two sisters-in-law, Gloria and Jean.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, PA. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home.
