Kulpmont – Michael S. Soboleski Sr., 78, passed away January 1, 2022 at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville.

He was born in Shamokin on August 23, 1943, the son of the late Albert Dobsen and Sylvia Soboleski.

Michael was a graduate of Kulpmont High School. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and later worked as welder for Dana Corporation.

Michael was a member of Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. He was a diehard Notre Dame and Mount Carmel football fan and he coached the Mount Carmel Jets football team for 10 years.

Michael is survived by his son, Michael S. Soboleski Jr. of Kulpmont; a grandson, Jeremiah Soboleski and wife, Erin of Mount Carmel; four great-grandchildren, Aiden Dietz, Layla Soboleski, Emery Soboleski, and Briella Soboleski; a sister, Ann Marie Wolfe and husband, Michael of Shamokin; two brothers, Alvin Dobsen of Elysburg and Terrence Dobsen and wife of Mt. Carmel; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
