Natalie – Michael G. Troutman, 77, of 125 High Street, passed away on December 10, 2023, at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

He was born in Danville on August 14, 1946, the son of the late Thomas and Catherine (Hettinger) Troutman.

Michael was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, class of 1964. He enlisted in the Navy in 1964 and was stationed in California, Antarctic, then Bainbridge, MD. Michael was part of the United States Naval Construction Battalion, better known as the Navy Seabees, and earned a rank of E2 as a construction electrician. He was honorably discharged in 1968. Michael then worked for Milco in Bloomsburg for 48 years until his retirement.

On October 19, 1968, he married the former Margaret Ann Murray in Secaucus, NJ.

Michael was a lifelong resident of the Mount Carmel area. He was a life member of the Natalie Fire Co., the Clover Hose Fire Co., and the Marion Heights Fire Co.

Michael is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Troutman; three sons, Thomas Troutman of Shamokin, Douglas Troutman and wife, Sarah of Catawissa, and Randy Troutman of Natalie; two brothers, James Troutman and wife, Joanne of Mount Carmel and David Troutman and wife, Peggy of Mount Carmel; six grandchildren, Marie Fuller, Casandra Steigerwalt, Heather Troutman, Kylie Troutman, Coral Swank, and Nicholas Troutman; four step grandchildren, Daulton Baumerts and wife Molly, Cynthia Baumerts, Wendi Lynn Baumerts, and Damion Baumerts; and four great-grandchildren, Layla Klinger, Abel McElwee, Cooper McElwee, and Raelyn Bobbitt.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Jean Eckrod officiating in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
