OBITUARY

Marion Heights – Mildred T. (Williams) Janaskie, 89, passed away December 15, 2021 at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

She was born in Marion Heights on August 1, 1932, the daughter of John and Nellie (Rycyk) Wisniewski.

Mildred was a lifelong resident of Marion Heights who worked in the garment industry for 55 years.

She was a member of Church of the Holy Angels, formerly Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

Mildred is survived by two sons, James Williams and wife, Rita of Pottsville and John Janaskie of Marion Heights; two daughters, Anna Marie Ramph and husband, Barry of Kulpmont and Theresa Phillips and husband, Daniel of Catawissa; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Williams and fiancé, Julie Hartman, Timothy Osevala, and Heather Martz and husband, Willie; three great-grandchildren, Braylon Martz, Blakely Martz, and Axel Williams; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Walter John Janaskie; two grandchildren, Matthew Janaskie and Jonathan Janaskie; daughter-in-law, Wanda Janaskie; four brothers, George Wisniewski, Stanley Wisniewski, Frank Wisniewski, and Michael Petrylko; and two sisters, Anna Petrylko and Katherine Petrylko.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Mildred T. (Williams) Janaskie, 89, of Marion Heights – Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 10 a.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott. St., Kulpmont, PA 17834. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Viewing will be held in the Church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 601 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Arrangements are in care of C. J.
