Elysburg – It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Mildred Scicchitano, 87, of 1425 Hollow Rd., on October 31, 2026.
Millie, more affectionately known to all as Busi, was born on March 10, 1939, the daughter of Anthony J. and Dorothy (Gebauer) Warsheski.
Millie was a 1956 graduate of Mount Carmel High School and a member of Divine Redeemer Church.
On April 27, 1957, she married Anthony Scicchitano in St. Joseph’s Church, Locust Gap, and they shared 69 years of marriage.
First and foremost, Millie was a devoted mother and homemaker. Alongside her husband, she also helped build and operate the family business, Scicchitano Ace Hardware in Mount Carmel, which they purchased in 1967 as a small paint and hardware store.
For over 60 years, Millie welcomed hundreds of young athletes to her home to work out in Tony’s Gym, treating each and every one as if they were her own.
Above all else, Busi cherished her family. She was blessed with 9 children, 25 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom were the greatest joys of her life. Her love for her family was endless, and nothing brought her greater happiness than having everyone together at the cottage. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished for generations. Her greatest legacy is not measured by what she owned or accomplished but by the family she created, the love she gave, and the countless lives she touched along the way.
