Mount Carmel – Nancy S. (Stine) DiFrancesco, 83, of 331 W. 3 ^rd Street, passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 20, 2023, at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community where she resided for the past couple months.

She was born in Shamokin Hospital on November 29, 1939, the daughter of the late Ira and Sylvia M. (Griffith) Stine.

Nancy was a 1957 graduate of McCaskey High School, Lancaster. She worked for Bell Telephone in the Lancaster area. In 1960 she returned to the Mount Carmel area where she resided ever since. While in the Mount Carmel area Nancy worked for Packaging Resources for 25 years until her retirement at the age of 60.

On May 12, 1962, she married Joseph DiFrancesco in St. Peter's Church, Mount Carmel.

Nancy was a member of Divine Redeemer Church. She enjoyed painting, reading, crossword puzzles, and was a huge animal lover.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Joseph DiFrancesco; son, Joseph DiFrancesco and wife, Peggy of Williamsport; two daughters, Julie Cooper and husband, Brett of Bowmansville and Joann Reeser and husband, Chris of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, Nicholas DiFrancesco, Gina Houser, Tyler Cooper, Haley Riehl, Drew Reeser, and Adam Reeser; two great-grandchildren, Julianna Houser and Ashton Riehl; and an uncle, Jack Griffith of Bloomsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Alan Stine.

All are welcome to the Funeral Mass held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Father Bernard Wamayose, A.J. as celebrant in Divine Redeemer Church, Mt. Carmel. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane League, PO Box 10476, Rockville, MD 20849, Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001, or the Mount Carmel Public Library, 30 S Oak St, Mt Carmel, PA 17851.
