Mount Carmel - Orinda M. Ford, 73, of 306 West Third Street, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Green Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in Pitman.

Born July 16, 1943, she was the daughter of Alfred and Armida (Marcani) Ford. Orinda graduated from Mount Carmel Catholic High School and completed course studies at Bloomsburg State University.

In her early career she was a veterinary technician and then became a bank manager, retiring from Sobieski Savings and Loan in Mount Carmel.

She was a devout Catholic. She gave her time to many organizations including the Lupus Foundation, and also the ASPCA and the SPCA of Pa because of her love for animals. She enjoyed reading biographies, going to Knoebels Grove Amusement Park, was an avid college and professional sports fan, and she also enjoyed building internet websites.

She is survived by two brothers, Alfred Ford and his wife Ann of Baltimore, MD, and Dominic Ford and his wife Barbara of Shamokin; 7 nieces and nephews, Amy Ford, Mary Ford, Joseph Ford, William Ford, Cheryl Paxton and her husband Jeffrey, Dominic Ford and his wife Karyn, and Patricia Hawkins and her husband Jonathan. She was preceded in death by her parents. Orinda will be missed by her family and friends.

Ford, 73, of 306 West Third Street, Mount Carmel - Graveside service will be held Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00am in St. Peters Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Mount Carmel with Reverend Martian O.
