Mount Carmel – Patricia L. Howerter, 68, of 338 S. Beech St., passed away March 25, 2022 at her residence.

She was born in Geisinger Hospital on June 24, 1953, the daughter of Martha Sienkiewicz.

Patricia was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel area. She graduated from Mount Carmel High School, class of 1971. On March 6, 1991, she graduated from Washingtonville School of Practical Nursing and worked as an LPN at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Schuylkill Haven until her retirement.

She was a Phillies fan, enjoyed shopping, and spending time with her family and her dogs.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Karen Weaver and husband, Harry of Kulpmont and Marcie Howerter of Mt. Carmel; a son, Leonard Howerter and wife, Lindsay of Lewisburg; three grandsons, Justin Weaver and significant other, Sheena, Joshua Weaver and significant other, Madison, and Aiden Howerter; four granddaughters, Emma Howerter, Mikayla Howerter, Alivia Howerter, and Veda Howerter; two great-grandchildren, Kamryn Weaver and Zayne Weaver; two step-grandchildren, Emia and Julian; a brother, Michael Merlo and wife, Bernadette of Den Mar Gardens; an aunt, Claire Sienkiewicz of Mt. Carmel; Leonard Howerter Sr. and wife, Anne of Mt. Carmel; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Brittany Weaver; and also several aunts, uncles, cousins, and their spouses.

Patricia L. Howerter, 68, of 338 S. Beech St., Mt. Carmel – A Celebration of Life will be held on April 2, 2022 at 12 p.m. at C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
