Mount Carmel – Patricia "Tish" (Reed) Shihinski, 83, of 351 S. Willow St. passed away September 9, 2022 at her residence.

She was born August 9, 1939 in Mount Carmel the daughter of Russell Reed Sr. and Clara (Coveleski) Reed.

Tish was a 1957 graduate of Mount Carmel Catholic High School. She worked for many places in Mount Carmel and other towns. Tish was last employed as a machine operator at Tri State Envelope Corp. of Ashland where she worked for 17 years.

She was a member of Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Mount Carmel Senior Citizens Action Center. She was a devoted follower and member of Lift Your Spirits at Life Geisinger, Kulpmont. Tish loved playing Bingo and was a devoted crafter who sold her items at the Mount Carmel Farmers Market, Atlas.

Tish is survived by her best friend and cousin, Pauline Dunn; two brothers, Ronald Reed and Wayne Reed; two sisters, Charlotte Begis and Janice Reed; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and lots of friends. Tish was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Myron Shihinski; sister, Virginia "Ginger" Confair; and two brothers, William "Bill" Reed and Russell Reed Jr.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Father Francis Karwacki in the Church of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8 p.m. and Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.
