Paul Mazurkevich

Kulpmont – Paul Mazurkevich, 86, formerly of Kulpmont, passed away on September 7, 2026, at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

He was born at Shamokin State Hospital on March 15, 1940, to the late Anthony and Martha (Ositko) Mazurkevich.

Paul was a 1958 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. He worked as a laborer in construction and factories.

Paul was of the Catholic Faith. He was a lifetime member of the American Hose Co., Mt. Carmel. Paul was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Mt. Carmel Red Tornadoes.

Paul is survived by his brother, John (Mary) Mazurkevich of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Donna Mazurkevich of Danville; two nephews, John Mazurkevich and Tony Mazurkevich; two nieces, Susan (Steve) Katch and Melissa Stabinski; great-nieces and great-nephews, Courtney, Stephen, Derek, Jonathan, Jillian, Christina, and Eric; a great-great-niece, Aleyah; and a fiancé, Franny Dascani of Kulpmont. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Mazurkevich, and a niece, Krista Mazurkevich.

The graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 1 p.m. with Msgr. Francis Karwacki officiating at Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Pauline Visintainer Center, 1150 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont, PA 17834.
