Conyngham – Peter T. Kolody, 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at his home, 25 Banks Ave. in Conyngham.

He was born in Philadelphia on September 9, 1962, to the late Peter J. and Mae A. (Lynch) Kolody.

Pete played football and wrestled for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School, Coal Twp., where he was known as "Coyote". His mother proudly attended all his football games. Pete graduated with the class of 1980.

Pete was a big college football fan, especially of Alabama. He loved animals and always had a pet throughout his life. Pete was an avid Star Trek fan and had a deep interest in history.

After graduation, Pete moved to Huntsville, AL, where he lived and worked until he returned to Central PA in 2004. Locally, Pete was employed for a time at Mattucci's Willow Café, Mt. Carmel, and at Eagle Rock Resort, Hazle Twp.

He is survived by a son, Dillon Kolody and his wife, Jennifer of Huntsville, AL; a sister, Charmaine Ryan and her husband, Donald of Wilburton; three nieces, Chloe Gilberthorpe, Tonia Wydra, and Felicitas Kolody; a nephew, Gerrit Michael Kolody; as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Alexander; and a sister, Jacqueline Kolody.

Funeral Service will be held at noon on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, with Father Bernard Wamayose, A.J., officiating in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Carmel, PA, C. J. Lucas IV Supervisor. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
