Mount Carmel - Peter P. Pekera, 57, of 348 E. 6 ^th St., was called home by the Lord on Monday, September 20, 2021.

Pete was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He leaves behind a broken-hearted family and will be greatly missed.

He was born on March 19, 1964, the son of Robert and Anna Pekera. Pete was a 1982 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. He was employed by Roadway where he operated heavy equipment.

Pete was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. He was a lifetime member of Marion Heights Fire Co. and the Clover Hose Fire Co. He loved coaching baseball and football and vacationing at the beach. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always the life of the party with a quick joke and his great sense of humor.

Pete joins his dad, Robert in heaven and is survived by his mom and best friend, Anna. He also leaves behind two sisters, Deborah Palmer and husband, Thomas of Northumberland and Lisa Horvath and husband, Jeff of Kulpmont; two nieces, Shelby and Megan; two nephews, Jaryd and Hunter; a son, Matthew Hager and wife, Haley; a grandson, Miles Hager; as well as several cousins.

Pete will be remembered by his family and close friends for his kindness and generosity.

Peter P. Pekera, 57, of 348 E. 6 ^th St., Mount Carmel – Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 47 S. Market St., Mount Carmel with Father Francis Karwacki officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp. Viewing will be held prior to the Mass from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with Transferal Prayers at 10 a.m. in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc. 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.
