Kulpmont – Regina J. (Swaboski) Sheganoski, 69, of 925 Spruce St., passed away on July 30, 2022 at her residence.

She was born in Shamokin on July 6, 1953, the daughter of Anthony and Eleanor (Monkiewicz) Swaboski.

Regina was raised in Mount Carmel and later resided in Kulpmont. She was a 1971 graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School and completed an LPN program in Danville. She started her nursing career at Mountain View Manor and later retired from Mount Carmel Nursing Home as an MDS Coordinator.

On August 17, 1979 in Holy Cross Church, Mt. Carmel she married Joseph Sheganoski Jr., who preceded her in death on September 23, 2018.

Regina was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels. She was an avid Penn State fan who achieved her dream of attending the annual White Out game a few years ago.

Regina is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Sheganoski) Connelly and husband, Dr. Patrick of Portland, CT; a son, Gerald Sheganoski and partner, Frances Ballard of Kulpmont; four precious grandchildren, Abigail Sheganoski of Virginia Beach, VA, Jeremiah Sheganoski of Kulpmont, Rory Connelly, and Teagan Connelly, both of Portland, CT; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan (Swaboski) Moleski and husband, Anthony of Dillsburg; her beloved cat, Tess; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont. Burial will follow in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 6 p.m. until the Christian Wake Service at 8 p.m. and Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. in the C. J.
