Kulpmont – Richard McHugh, 39, of 1255 Poplar Street, passed away on August 17, 2025.

He was born in Darby, PA, on December 16, 1985, to his parents, James and Cynthia (Oppold) McHugh.

Richard was a 2004 graduate of Interboro High School in Prospect Park, PA. He worked as a landscaper/laborer.

Richard is survived by his parents, James and Cynthia McHugh; four children, Pierce Aaron McHugh, Maddyn Rose McHugh, Caralyn Battersby, and Jack Battersby; a brother, James D. McHugh; and two sisters, Amanda Dye and Kelly Kostyk.

Richard McHugh, 39, of 1255 Poplar St., Kulpmont – Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11 a.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. Visitation will be held in the Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
