Robert Leonard Miskell, 80, formerly of Mount Carmel, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehab Center in Shenandoah, where he resided for the past two years.

He was born December 12, 1942, in Shamokin State Hospital, an only son of the late Anna (Mizak) Miskell and Vincent "Pinky" Miskell of Mount Carmel.

He was a 1960 graduate of Mount Carmel High School and played on championship Tornado football teams. He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was self-employed in construction and trucking businesses. He loved Penn State football and his German Shepherd. He was active in several social clubs.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Pasipanko) Miskell. He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Ann Finlan, and her husband, Marty, of Jonestown; cousins, Bonnie Polomski, Melanie Mizak Williams, Roberta Mizak, and Jay Jashinskie, of Mount Carmel; Goddaughter, Maria Bebenek, and her husband, Rodney, of Harrisburg; a niece, Denise Stich, of Oak Ridge Estates; and other cousins, relatives, and friends.

He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 47 S. Market St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. All those attending mass are asked to arrive by 9:50 a.m.. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are in care of C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27. N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C. J.
