Kulpmont - Robert S. Pochekailo, 52, of 1417 Chestnut Street, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 in his residence.

Born in Ashland on November 29, 1964 he was the son of the late Walter and Rose Marie (Miriello) Pochekailo.

At the time of his death he was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Geisinger Medical Center, prior to that he was employed for 24 years at Ashland Regional Medical Center.

Robert was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School and received his licensed practical nursing license through the Washingtonville Nursing Program.

He was a member of the Patronage of Mother of God Church, Marion Heights.

Survivors include two sisters, Alexis Pochekailo and her husband Jeff Rothermel of Gowen City and Elianne Henderson of Elysburg; two nephews, Aaron Henderson and his wife Amanda of Elysburg and Nathan Henderson of Elysburg; two nieces Ashley Sennett and her husband Aloysious of Kingston and Erica Collins and her husband Scott of Catawissa; two aunts, Eleanor Slack of Marion Heights and Anna Mae Glosek of White Hall; one great niece Autum Henderson of Elysburg and four great nephews Abal Henderson of Elysburg; Aloysious Sennett of Kingston and Jeremy and Lucas Collins both of Catawissa. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Calvin Henderson Jr and a nephew Calvin Henderson III as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

Robert S. Pochekailo, 52, of 1417 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont - Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the Patronage of Mother of God Church, 155 Melrose Street, Marion Heights with Reverend Mykola Ivanov as the main celebrant and Reverend Mark Fesniak as the con-celebrant.  Burial will be in Patronage of Mother of God Cemetery, Marion Heights. Viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 - 11:45 with Panahyda at 11:15 in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 1053 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont, C.J.
