Robert J. Tabachini, 99, of 214 Front St., Strong, passed away on May 10, 2023, at Carolyn's House Hospice Residence, Harrisburg.

Born in Atlas on April 1, 1924, Robert was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Colross) Tabachini. He was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Mount Carmel Township Highschool in 1941. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II, and was a supervisor for 21 years at the Department of Welfare in Shamokin.

On June 17, 1950, in the former St. Peter's Church, Mount Carmel, he married the love of his life, Marguerite Rose Tabachini. He was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, Mount Carmel, formerly St. Peter's Church. Robert was a charter member for the Atlas American Legion, the Mount Carmel Elks, and the DAV.

Robert is survived by a son, Robert John Tabachini Jr. and his wife Suzanne of SC; three daughters, Deborah A. Tabachini of Harrisburg, Susan Kramer and her husband Francis of Harrisburg, and Marguerite A. Kuzo and her husband Kenneth of MD; four granddaughters, Melissa Lightner, Candice Ricker and her husband Mike, Allison Kramer, and Abigail Tabachini; two great granddaughters, Emma Lightner and Kathryn Ricker; and a great grandson, Michael Ricker. In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by his two brothers Edward and Joseph Tabachini.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Father Bernard Wamayose, A.J. officiating in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 W. Ave., Mt. Carmel. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Viewing will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being cared for by C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine Street, Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Divine Redeemer Church, 438 W. Ave. Mt.
