Marion Heights - Ronald Bruce Neiswenter, 98, of 324 Melrose Street, passed away April 16, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Mount Carmel on January 10, 1921, he was the son of the late Claud and Minnie (Klinger) Neiswenter. A lifelong resident of the area, Ronald graduated from Mount Carmel High School. He retired from Bethlehem Steel, where he worked as a boiler mechanic.

On August 30, 1942, in Mount Carmel, he married the love of his life, Marie Lustyn, who preceded him in death in 2015. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ronald was a member of the First Church of God, Mount Carmel. He served in the US Army during WW II, where he received two purple hearts.

He is survived by a son, David Neiswenter and his wife, Judith of NV; a son-in-law, Larry Vasold, Shrewsberry; daughter-in-law, Loretta Neiswenter, WV; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two nieces, Gayle Stinsky and her husband Tom, Kulpmont and Sharon Tocyloski and her husband Robert, Kulpmont; several other nieces, nephews and cousin; as well as special friends and neighbors, Ralph and Joanne Pupo of Marion Heights. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Boyd Neiswenter; a daughter Michaelene Vasold; a daughter- in-law, Norway Neiswenter and two sisters, Phyllis Yeager and Grace Leon.
