Mt. Carmel – Rose M. (Butsko) Clauser, 84, formerly of 315 South Hickory St., passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Mt. Carmel Senior Living Community.

She was born in Danville on July 27, 1936, the daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Chesney) Butsko.

Rose was a graduate of St. Casimir's Grade School and Mount Carmel High School, Class of 1954. She worked as a housekeeper for Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, formerly St. Casimir's Church and the West End Fire Co., in Kulpmont.

Rose loved her children, grandchildren, and her two beautiful great granddaughters. She was a hard worker, great cook and loved her many German Shepherd pets she had over the years.

Rose is survived by two sons, James Clauser and wife, Colleen of Jim Thorpe and Joseph Clauser and wife, Connie of Shamokin; a daughter, Maryrose Darrup and husband, Michael of Mt. Carmel; eight grandchildren, Jill Letcavage and husband, Drew, Zachary Darrup, Jenna Darrup, Jocelyn Darrup, Isaac Darrup, Joseph Clauser Jr., Madison Clauser and Nathan Clauser; two great grandchildren, Sophia Schickley and Lucianne Letcavage; a sister, Agnes Leonard of VA; a nephew, Paul; and two nieces, Diane and Cheryl. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Clauser.
