Mount Carmel – Rose (Feddock) Shannon, 91, of 302 S. Beech Street passed away October 29, 2022 with her family by her side.

She was born in Mount Carmel on October 9, 1931, a daughter of John and Helen (Yakubick) Feddock.

Rose attended school in Mount Carmel. She was employed as a nurse's aid at Mountain View Manor.

On February 24, 1955 she married Michael B. Shannon, who preceded her in death on April 7,1990.

Rose was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. She loved spending time with her family and cats.

Rose is survived by two sons, Mike Shannon and wife, Barb of Kulpmont and Robert Shannon and companion, Maggie Shirmer of Aristes; three daughters, Sylvia George and husband, Karl of Aristes, Debra Jeffrey and husband, Randy of Mount Carmel, and Rose Shannon of Atlas; two granddaughters, Jennifer Shannon of Kulpmont and Roseann Shannon of Atlas; a great-grandson, Blake; two great-granddaughters, Leah and Jada; a sister, Mary Golda and husband, Leonard of Mountain Top; a nephew, Richard Golda of Mountain Top, and a niece, Cheryl Zurawski and husband, Dennis of Mountain Top. In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a brother, George Feddock; a sister, Anna Carta; and a nephew, Leonard Golda.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Father Francis Karwacki as celebrant in the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 47 S. Market St., Mount Carmel. Burial will be held at a later date in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Viewing will be private for immediate family members only. Arrangements are in care of C. J.
