Kulpmont – Sharon L. (Krakowski) Puddy, 76, of 1253 Poplar St., passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born in Shamokin State Hospital on June 3, 1946, the daughter of Edward and Bernice (Kwiatkowski) Krakowski.

Sharon grew up in Kulpmont, attended St. Casimir's Catholic School and Mount Carmel Area High School. She held several positions in the textile mill and retail industries in her hometown of Kulpmont. On November 26, 1966, she was married by Msgr. Matthias Siedlecki in St. Casimir's Church to Ellsworth W. Puddy. Together they shared 55 years of marriage.

She was a member of the former St. Casimir's Church, now known as Church of the Holy Angels, where she previously served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a former member of the Church choir. Sharon had a strong devotion to Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary. A spiritual highlight was her traveling to see Saint Teresa of Calcutta. She helped several friends through medical illnesses and loved to travel and spend time with her family. Sharon loved cats and dogs as she donated to countless animal care organizations.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Ellsworth W. Puddy of Kulpmont; a daughter, Suzette L. Sands and husband, Joseph III of Shamokin; and a son, Richard W. Puddy of Tucker, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sharon L. (Krakowski) Puddy, 76, of 1253 Poplar St., Kulpmont – Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont. Burial will follow in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights. Viewing will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. in the J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, Malcom C. Farrow IV, Supervisor.
