Norristown – Shawn D. Baskin, 42, of 114 Colonial Drive, passed away on May 14, 2025.

He was born on March 4, 1983, in Ashland, along with his twin brother, Eric, to Daniel and Diane (Wargo) Baskin.

Shawn was a 2001 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School and worked as a masonry contractor.

Shawn was a member of Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church in Elysburg. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. He also loved tying flies for fishing. Shawn and his brother, Eric, played Little League baseball and football, and later enjoyed working on cars and trucks together.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Diane Baskin and companion, Dave Berkheiser of Slate Run; a sister, Danielle Yost and husband, Brian of FL; an uncle, Joseph Wargo (and his children, Joseph and Timothy) and wife, Debra of Green Ridge; an aunt, Barbara Machuzak and husband, Michael of Den Mar Gardens and their son, Steven; as well as cousins. Shawn was preceded in death by a twin brother, Eric Baskin; father, Daniel Baskin; maternal grandparents, Josephine Wargo and husband, Joseph; and paternal grandparents, Luther Baskin and wife, Marian.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at noon with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service in the Kulpmont Funeral Home.
