Marion Heights – Stanley J. "Steach" Kinger Sr., 75, of 150 W. Warsaw Street, passed away on January 16, 2025, at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community, Mt. Carmel.

He was born in Shamokin State Hospital on January 19, 1949, the son of the late Stanley and Evelyn (Fisher) Kinger.

Stanley was a lifelong resident of Marion Heights and a 1967 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. He worked as a laborer for Catawissa Lumber until his retirement.

A member of the Catholic faith, Stanley was also involved with several local organizations, including the Marion Heights Fire Company, Brady Fire Company, and the Kulpmont Sportsmen Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a passionate sports fan, especially of Eagles football, Philadelphia Phillies baseball, PSU football, and Mount Carmel football.

Stanley is survived by his son, Stanley J. Kinger Jr. and his wife, Christine (Janoka) of Tobyhanna; a daughter, Bridget Schultz and her significant other, John of Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Ryan, Rabekah, Ryleigh, and Rowan; and a brother, John Kinger and his wife, Susan of Marion Heights; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Kinger; and a sister, Annette Pita.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at noon with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Marion Heights. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service in the funeral home.
