Kulpmont – Susan Mannello, beloved wife, mom, Mam Mam/Mimi, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2026, surrounded by her husband, Charlie, son, Jared, and daughter-in-law, Angela. She was 75 years old.

Born on March 10, 1951, in her grandmother's home, Sue was the cherished daughter of Jack and Betty Kehler. She carried with her throughout life the warmth, strength, and deep sense of family that shaped her from the very beginning.

Sue was a proud graduate of MCA, Class of 1969, and remained connected to the friendships and memories formed during those years. She was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved most. She furthered her education at a practical nursing school. She worked as a school aide at Mount Carmel Area School District and also as a pharmacy tech for Geisinger.

On June 26, 1981, she married Charlie Mannello at their home in Kulpmont.

Nothing brought Sue greater joy than spending time with her family and grandchildren. Whether gathered around the table sharing stories and laughter or enjoying simple moments together, she treasured every memory made with them. She also found great happiness at the beach, where the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun brought her peace and comfort. Sue also loved shopping and could always enjoy time spent watching QVC, one of her favorite pastimes.

Sue will be remembered for her love, her compassion, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Sue is survived by her husband, Charlie Mannello of Kulpmont; two sons, Scott (Katy) Altemose of IL and Jared C. (Angela) Mannello of NJ; three grandsons, Jack Altemose, Luke Altemose, and Jonah Mannello; four granddaughters, Emma Altemose, Mia Mannello, Lyla Mannello, and Brynna Mannello; a sister, Barbara (Joe) Cimino; and two sisters-in-law, Cindy (Steven) Lapotsky and Robin Kehler; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by a brother, John "Jack" Kehler Jr.; and a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles F. Mannello and Alma M. Mannello.

She leaves behind a family who loved her dearly and who will continue to honor her life through the countless memories she created with them.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 9 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dean Luther officiating in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851, C J Lucas IV, Supervisor. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. A Celebration of Life will follow the burial at The Hideaway Banquet Hall, 1028 Poplar St, Kulpmont, PA 17834.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace United Church of Christ, 136 E. 3rd St., Mt Carmel, PA 17851, or the Mt.
