Kulpmont - Teresa M. Hasuga, 93, of 543 Chestnut Street, entered into eternal life on May 15, 2018 with her heavenly father, Jesus Christ.

Born on September 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Katherine (Varano) Varano of Kulpmont.

On October 1, 1955 in The Holy Transfiguration Church in Shamokin, she married, Michael Hasuga Jr, who preceded her in death.

She worked as a Remediation Specialist Team Leader for ServiceMaster of Harrisburg, where they lived for many years. Also she pursued a career at the Harrisburg East Mall with Gimbels and Hess Department stores. She was a Sales Consultant in the men's business suit department, she attained several prestigious accolades as employee of the month, as well as top sales associate.

She enjoyed working in the family garden, playing bingo and making life easy and comfortable for her family. Teresa always put others before herself. She was a devoted Catholic and later in her life after moving back to Kulpmont, assisted as a volunteer at her parish, Church of the Holy Angels, during events.

She is survived by two sons, Michael and his wife Marianne, and David; two brothers, Anthony (Tony) Varano, and Samuel (Sam) Varano; a sister-in-law, Barbara A. (Hasuga) Hacker; and many nieces and nephews.

Special people who cared and loved her during her elder life; her dear cousin, Catherine Maciejewski and husband, Jack Maciejewski, her dear friend, Joan M. Souza, her community friends, Father Andrew Stahmer and parishioners at her church, Dr Jeffrey Greco, MD, and the staff and residents at Mt. Carmel Senior Living Community.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Hasuga Jr.; a brother, Francis (Frank) Varano; and two sisters, Caroline (Varano) Dworak and Josephine Varano.

Hasuga, 93, of 543 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont, Pa - Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 18, 2018, at 10:00 am, in her church, Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont with Father Stahmer officiating. Following the service Teresa will be laid to eternal rest with her loving husband, Michael, at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. Arrangements are being cared for by C. J.
