Marion Heights – Therese Anne (Petro) Zenyuch, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Geisinger Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville.

She was born on May 3, 1928, in Marion Heights to the late Joseph and Anna (Mattis) Petro.

Therese was a graduate of Kulpmont High School, class of 1946. She was a talented seamstress who was employed at several local garment factories.

On May 3, 1952, she married John J. Zenyuch in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Marion Heights. This year they celebrated 68 years of marriage.

She was a member of the Patronage of the Mother of God Church in Marion Heights.

Therese and John enjoyed attending yearly reunions of the London Embassy Marine Corp Detachment throughout the United States. Therese enjoyed reading, completing the daily Cryptoquote newspaper puzzle and loved spending time with her family.

Therese is survived by her loving husband, John Zenyuch of Marion Heights; five children, Claudia Niezgoda of Shavertown, Susan Kinger and husband, John of Marion Heights, Mark Zenyuch and wife, Marianne of Bear Gap, Cynthia Eby and husband, Randy of Paxinos, and John Zenyuch and wife, Marcie of Texas; seven grandchildren, Randy Eby and wife, Darla, Maria Dalesandro and husband, Bryan, Corey Kinger, Michael Niezgoda and wife, Lisa, Christopher Zenyuch and wife, Victoria, Caitlin Kinger, and Katharine Niezgoda and husband, Rahul Bharucha; a step-grandchild, Rebecca; six great-grandchildren, Ginny, Jack, Will, Jillian, Matty and Aurora; three step-great-grandchildren, Shiane, Garrett and Kaine; three step-great-great-grandchildren, Jaylen, Layne, and Tegan; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Johnson; two brothers, Joseph Petro and Thomas Petro (Therese's twin); and a son-in-law, Paul Niezgoda.

Therese's family would like to thank the staff of Geisinger Medical Center and Maria Hall for their kind, compassionate and loving care.
