Thomas L. Kosakowski, 88, formerly of 170 East Dewart Street, Shamokin passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at Mountain View a Nursing & Rehab Center.

Born in Shamokin on March 6, 1929, he was the son of the late Frank and Constance (Cieslak) Kosakowski. He was educated in St. Stanislaus Grade School and Coal Township High School.

Tom was a lifelong resident of Shamokin and was employed at Raup's Lumber Company, Jones Hardware, and Mountain View Manor, Compass Rose.

On June 30, 1956 in St. Edward's Church, Shamokin he married the late Maryann Schlichtig who preceded her in death on March 14, 2005.

He was a member of Mother Cabrini Church, Big Brothers and was a Boy Scout Master.

He is survived by James Klemanski of Coal Township who was like a son to him as well as several cousins.

Kosakowski, 88, formerly of 170 East Dewart Street, Shamokin - Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to a funeral mass to be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10:00 am in Mother Cabrini Church, 214 North Shamokin Street, Shamokin with a Franciscan Friar, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Trevorton.  At the request of the deceased there will not be a viewing.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Mother Cabrini Church, 214 North Shamokin Street, Shamokin, PA 17872.  C.J.
