Atlas – Thomas F. Kruskie Jr., 60, of 126 E. Columbia Ave., passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville with his wife by his side.

He was born in Ashland on May 3, 1961, the son of the late Thomas F. Kruskie Sr. and Patricia (Schminkey) Kruskie. At age 10, Thomas went to live with his aunt Dot and uncle John Swalina.

Thomas attended Shamokin schools and proudly served in the United States Army. He worked as an auto mechanic at Riverside Garage, Automotive Toy Store, and Greco Service Station.

On March 26, 1993, he married the former Maryann Habowski, who survives.

Thomas was a member of Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. He enjoyed riding many of his Harley Davidson motorcycles, working in the garage, watching automotive shows, and loved to wear his Harley Davidson shirts. Thomas enjoyed his individual special time with his wife, children, and his first granddaughter, Morgan "Morgie". He was well liked and was a special person who would help anyone who needed it. He remained close to his cousin, Rachel "Ray".  He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Maryann Kruskie of Atlas; three sons, Tyler Kruskie and girlfriend, Kyra Sptiko of Atlas, Kyle Kruskie of Atlas, and Bray Kruskie of Shamokin; three daughters, Brooke Kruskie and boyfriend, Greg Minnig of Mt. Carmel, Breanna Kruskie of Atlas, and Savanah Kruskie of Shamokin; two granddaughters, Morgan Jean Snyder and Nevaeh Kruskie; two grandsons, Drayven Kruskie and Jayce Kruskie; a brother, Joseph Schminkey of Mt. Carmel; two sisters, Patricia Bunch of IN and Cheryl New of IN; two sisters-in-law, Barb Puketza and husband, Bill of Mount Carmel and Gloria Mowrer and husband, Tom of Montandon; two nieces, Amanda Manning and Tiani Mowrer of Montandon; a nephew, Tommie Mowrer III of Montandon; a cousin, Rachel Haddock and boyfriend, Lee Kern of Shamokin; and second cousin, Tessa Ray of Shamokin; as well as many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Francis Kruskie III; sister, Debra Berezay; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Jean (Staffi) Habowski; aunt, Dorothy Swalina and husband, John; and uncle, Frank Kruskie.

Thomas F. Kruskie Jr., 60, of 126 E. Columbia Ave., Atlas – Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Father Francis Karwacki officiating in the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 47 S. Market Street, Mt. Carmel. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Viewing will be held prior to the Mass from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine Street, Mt. Carmel, C. J.
